Joint solution Prometheus-Modcon was represented at OpEx 2014 – Operational Excellence in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals, which took place in Moscow on April 24-25, 2014.
This is an integrated hardware/software solution which simulates CDU and speeds up the achievement of production targets during crude switching.
To optimize process parameters to produce the required range of distillates at the highest yields, strict and adequate monitoring of all streams is crucial to ensure maximum efficiency of the crude distillation unit, using the NMR analyzer. When crude switching occurred, this solution minimized the impact on CDU operation by an immediate adjustment to shift the exact cut point, so that the maximum production capacity for each product towards the most valuable distillates was achieved.
